World Autism Awareness Day 2024 South Africa. On world autism day (2 april) the south african society of psychiatrists (sasop) calls for better understanding and an increase in health and education sector resources that can improve the lives of those affected by autism beyond only those that can. These campaigns were created to highlight the world’s need to help improve the quality of life of those with autism.
It was designated by the united nations general assembly resolution (a/res/62/139). Throughout the month, we focus on sharing stories and providing opportunities to increase understanding and acceptance of people with autism and fostering worldwide support.
